Effective: October 2026
Keep needs an account. Your plan and logs are kept on your phone and backed up to your account, so you can restore them on a new phone. You can delete the account and its backup at any time in the app.
Your quiz answers (medication, injection day or pill time, sex, age range, height, weight, goal weight, training habits and what you find hardest), logged meals, saved foods, water, workouts, weigh-ins, muscle checks (chair stands, push-ups and waist), medication log (doses, injection sites and side effects), questions you note for your prescriber, maintenance settings and scores are stored on your device and backed up to your account, as described below.
The doctor visit report is made on your phone from this data. Nothing leaves your phone until you choose to share the PDF, and then only with the app or person you pick.
You create an account with Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or your email address and a password. We then store your email address (or the private relay address Apple provides), your first name if Apple or Google shares it, and a backup of your plan, meals, saved foods, workouts, weigh-ins, muscle checks and medication log, so they can be restored on another phone. We also record your country from your phone's settings, how you signed up, when you first saw the Keep Pro offer, and whether you subscribe. If you use a password, it is stored only in a one-way encrypted (hashed) form that nobody, including us, can read. This data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, and is only accessible to your account and to us.
To delete your account, open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account and backup from our servers, and the data on your phone.
We don't send marketing or promotional email. If you have an account, we only email you when the account itself needs it, for example to confirm your email address or reset your password. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
Keep asks your permission before it sends any meal photo for analysis. When you scan a meal, or pick one photo from your library, that photo is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI's API to estimate nutrition. If you add a note to correct a scan, the note is sent with the photo. Keep does not store the photo or the note. OpenAI does not use API data to train its models, and may retain it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring before deleting it. You can log any meal by typing instead, and no photo is sent.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Purchase state is managed by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider, using an anonymous identifier, or your account ID and email address if you have an account.
Keep does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Keep provides general nutrition tracking. It is not medical advice. Always follow your prescriber's instructions.
